dementomstie so he messes with professional bands at rehearsals where no one will ever learn about it unless it's posted on the internet by his co-workers/friends? How is that a dick move if it doesn't seem to bother the band?
pastorofmuppets i think they get pretty sure they get maybe a soundcheck and the rehearsal taping and that's it. i'm not sure.
as a musician i can say that i'd be pretty upset if someone was trying to distract me while i was in rehearsal for what will probably be the highest profile performance of my life.
and then "leak" it on youtube. he may as well put itching powder in their bras or something.
still, better than what they're doing on the air. why is that?
fatatty He's a friend of Andy Samberg and part of the Lonely Island which started as internet comedy shorts and eventually got Andy, Jorma and Akiva all working for SNL. I always liked their internet stuff and was happy to see them make it somewhere. Most of the popular skits and digital shorts coming out of SNL are made by those three.
dr_rock It's not so much him being a dick as it is an unfunny skit he seems to do for their youtube page. The bands are clearly in on the "joke".
simon666 Forcing a rehearsing band to watch you dance with your shirt off is pretty funny (The sax sound was added in post). This isn't a group like "College Humor" trying to be funny and failing at it, this is a group of people who have been friends all through growing up (Jorma, Samberg, Akiva) and were just having fun being silly. Lighten up.
