Judging from the switching perspectives (and all the games I've played this gen) it looks like the prior rather than the latter, sadly.

Honestly, it's not that simple. The HEAT actions are something you can only do once in a while, when you build up a gauge by fighting. Each action is determined by where in the environment you drag someone, or what weapon you're holding.

There plenty of upgrades via an experience system and hidden trainers, too. It's a lot of fun.

Without question. It's kind of funny. Most US videos you'll see of this game focus on the biggest brutalities you can commit, whereas most of the Japanese ones focus on how much detail goes into the stores/restaurants/bars, and how you can play minigames and run a hostess bar.

The heat actions are glorified finishers to your opponents. But trust me, you will have a lot of fun doing them.

As well as the face punch afterwards and the two arm/shoulder bars before. If he planned on killing him anyway and the guy was offering zero resistance after the suplex do you really need to break/dislocate extremities?
