This would have made for a better show.

Further proof that laugh tracks ruin everything good.

Something tells me that Family Matters or Full House would not be funny at all without a laugh track. Yes...television has become better.
|
Cyberblah - 2011-06-14 It really does seem like television has gotten better and movies worse.
|
simon666 - 2011-06-14 That's right, CSI, Real Housewives, Jersey Shore, American Idol, Simpsons, The View, Dr. Phil, Judge Judy, O'Reilly Factor, Ellen, Glee, Extreme Makeover, The Batchelorett,e et al. are all really fine program.
Most TV is shit with a few edible pieces of corn showing up every now and again.

Knuckles - 2011-06-14 Also the ratings here are useless, I reflexively gave this a 5 but it really deserves a 2 or something

garcet71283 - 2011-06-15 Final season Carl-and-Urkel-time-machine-robot-clone escapades will always be funny.
Take that back.
|
glendower - 2011-06-15 Garcet, you make a good point. I still think those old shows mostly suck, but there is nothing more hilarious than when Full House, Saved by the Bell or Family Matters did something off the beaten path. A good example of this is the Urkel Dance episode in which Urkel gets wasted. Another moment of delight occurs in the anti-drug episode of SBTB in which Slater and Zach catch some dude smoking pot in the bathroom.

I hated this song so much as a kid. And I hated anyone that made me watch Family Matters. Which they did.
|
Cena_mark - 2011-06-14 Family Matters was great. Everybody loved Urkel. The theme kinda sucked though.
|
garcet71283 - 2011-06-15 Rodents of Unusual Size hate black people.
|
twinkieafternoon - 2011-06-15 At least tell me you were accepting of "Hangin' Out with Mr. Cooper." You can't hate Mr. Cooper, Rodents.

FABIO - 2011-06-14
It really shows how god awful Jim and Pam are that they fit right in with this.

|
Stopheles - 2011-06-14
It's been a few years since I watched the show. How the hell does Stringer Bell fit into it?
|
dododge - 2011-06-18 He was Michael's boss for part of a season.

twinkieafternoon - 2011-06-15
They're gonna make it on their own, with the love ad the strength only a family can provide...even when Tim is up to no good!

Laugh tracks!
On the subject of The Office: Serious shows with that documentary shaky camera style should add the awkward interview parts with one liners that The Office has. I couldn't stop thinking of those scenes while watching the shaky camera work on Battlestar Galactica.

Xiphias - 2011-06-15
I was going to submit this but knew it would just devolve into people bitching about / defending the office
