I've got blue balls from that disappointingly non-creepy pronunciation of "Resident Evil" at the end.
No don't shoot Zombie President!
He respected you!
Wait, they brought back zombies?
But...but what will the fans bitch about now!?!?!?
It's a sausage fest, no female lead. Muscly gorilla dude and blonde bishounen can't carry the game by themselves; if I can't slaughter zombies with Jill or Rebecca, then no thanks.
Riskbreaker- not being able to play the game properly is the only way to play the game properly.
If a RE game turns out to be fun, CAPCOM IS DOING IT WRONG!
The beginning with Leon and an atmosphere of horror and a simply story looked good. Like an improved RE2.
Then it turned into several minutes of cutscenes and QTE's involving brightly-lit Gears of War type gameplay with much less likable protagonists and a convoluted story which lack any meaning unless you know the other nonsensical game plots.

Umbrella Corporations are people, my friend.
MODERN EVIL: CALL OF RESIDENTS: ZOMBIE WARFARE BATTLEGROUND.
BECAUSE SHOOTERS DIDN'T EXIST BEFORE MODERN WARFARE 2 AMIRITE???!?!?
no thanks, bro
I'm going to use this video as an outlet to bitch about something to the other gamers here: what the hell is with the price tag on that resident evil they're making for the DS?
I really hate the nerds on message boards defending it; "They're having to use a bigger memory cards, so there's a reason they need to charge more!" Bullshit. Capcom didn't feel the need to charge less post super Nintendo when they swiched from catridges to CDs, so fuck 'em. is more than any portable game should be.
It's on a Nintendo console, so of course nerds will defend it.
Which is a shame, as everything I've read about the 3DS game makes me want to play it... switching between post-RE4 style action oriented chapters and more classic scavenge/hide/run chapters sounded good, and the review aggregate is encouraging. Oh well, there's always pre-owned.
I have yet to see a good argument as to why that game should somehow just naturally, obviously cost less than 50 bucks because it's on a handheld. Other than 'I want to pay less money' which is an excellent argument, but applies to all platforms. Peculiar-as-fuck phenomenon.
Are we talking about the one that just came out or the one that is essentially a mini-game with a save system that screws anyone buying the game second hand?
@poorwill, similarly, I haven't heard a good argument why this game should be more, either. I know a gig or two doesn't cost that much, and like I said, it doesn't work the other way with cheaper medium.
The best reason I can give you for not liking this, other than being a cheap bastard, which I am, (you will too after you have kids) is that once we allow this shit, everyone is going to try it.
In general, gamers are willing to let companies walk all over them because they can't wait any longer to play their next game. Thanks to that, now we see things like in game DLC ads (dragon age being the worst), or half-games being sold at , with the other half coming along in chunks (CoD), and subscription services for mundane offerings (CoD, Uncharted 3). This whole thing just seems like an excuse of Capcom's to test the waters and see if they can get by with selling portable games at console prices. More will follow, I'm sure of that much, especially in the Resident Evil franchise. (The only franchise of theirs Capcom hasn't ruined yet.)
The game takes place in China, so, how long until some people start crying about the game being racist against the chinese?
This trailer seems to actually strive at making action and horror boring. Resident Evil 5's trailer may have sent the game press into a "I'm white and I dunno if we are being racist or not...could someone tell me if this is racist?" tizzy, but it was new, interesting and creepy.
+2 for the RE2 cock tease.
I've never played an RE game, are they all as wack metal played straight like this is?
Nope, the better entries are known and appreciated for their goofy, nonsensical plots and dialogue.
