From what I've heard so far, he's like this weird combination of Roky Erickson and Jandek. That's a good thing.

Unfortunately he died a year or two ago. I found this out last month when a friend and I were starting to make plans to drive to Detroit and meet him.

Spacechild Squall ('78 or '79), his first album, is great and sounds significantly less like either of those guys, it's more like Skip Spence jamming with the Scorpions vocalist.

I think one of my old co-workers would play this guy sometimes.. he was from Detroit. At the time I thought I was so cool because I knew about Beefheart, Can, stuff like that, and he'd bring in stuff like The Frogs and Les Georges Leningrad all the time. Cool guy.
