Eh, I wouldn't be so hard on them. 7th Guest was a great game when it came out, predated Myst, revolutionized CD-ROMS as a gaming medium as opposed to the medium for business professionals, and made a significant impact on the graphic adventure medium which, at the time, was stagnating badly in Sierra/Roberta Williams territory.
This is interesting.
this was a pretty cool game back then. Now I know why the live action sound sucked so bad though.
How is that we had video based games that could run on a 486 and a netbook chokes to death playing youtube? Fuck Adobe.
In addition to being very fun, this was a true trailblazer in the history of computer gaming, as noted above. It's too bad that Trilobyte died, and the sequel sucked on ice.
When 3D anything was a huge pain in the ass.
I never got my warez copy of 3d studio past that starting blue screen...
"Trilobyte was the brainchild of this box of Cheez-its.
"The box of Cheex-its was once expelled from school for taking time off to program video games instead of being infused with a satisfying cheesy crunch that's great for snacking at home or on the go."
I remember playing this game...anyone remember Betrayal At Krondor? Now that was a kick ass game for its time.
This game made me buy CD ROM drive, it was amazing.
Is that Larry Wachowski at 2:50???
